The games are coming thick and fast at the moment and Preston faced Huddersfield in front of the Sky television cameras in midweek following a good away win at Hull.
It was an opportunity to claw further ground back on the play off places and Huddersfield in particular who were positioned in the top six places. Unfortunately, Preston could only manage a draw although it keeps up a recent run of good form.
Despite the lack of goals it was far from a dull encounter. North End had the best of the opportunities. In the first half the best chance came when Archer played in Jonhson down the left. His cross was fired at goal by Evans but the visiting keeper saved well.
After the break it was Archer who was largely causing trouble. He had a shot saved from range and fashioned another opportunity for himself but hit the ball over the bar.
Preston went to the end even pressing forward late on but they couldn't breakthrough the Huddersfield defence. It is a measure of how far Preston have come in the last few months as they were disappointed in not taking all three points.
North End now travel to Peterborough where they will be hoping to put ina good performance with a view to trying to push closer to the top six places.
