There are a number of areas where Preston need to strengthen with midfield being one of them. Whilst Pearson has shone this season, Johnson and Browne have stalled with Gallagher playing a bit part role out of necessity towards the end of the season.
Preston have been linked with a move for Josh Scowen from Barnsley. The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season at Barnsley and it is rumoured that Preston will make a summer move for Scowen.
