Just like at Chorley Grayson featured two different teams in the respective halves with the first half team fairing the better of the two. Most of the squad got a work out at some point throughout the game.
North End looked composed in the first half facing a Liverpool sdie with Rickie Lambert making his debut. The home side took the lead just prior to the break with Brownhill tapping in after a Garner effort wassaved.
Preston changed the whol team at the break whilst Liverpool waited until the hour mark to make the majority of changes. The Reds scored to goals in a matter of minutes with Suso and Peterson sealing the win.
The only concern for Preston was a wrist injury to Huntington but this seems nothing overly serious. Thehome side have certainly improved since last year's pre-season four nil defeat to Liverpool. North End now move on to play Bamber Bridge on Tuesday evening.
