North End took the lead in the first half when they pressed high. Browne forced the defender into a mistake and Stockley pounced ont he loose ball curling home fromt he edge of the box.
The lead was doubled in the second half when Storey volleyed home at the back post. Preston had deserved their lead and were playing well with a large folloeing of over 1,200.
Browne added a third before Matt Smith reduced the arrears with a couple of minutes to go. Preston then topped the day off as Potts scored his first just before the final whistle.
It was Preston's most convincing win of the season. Players are returning and the team looks stronger for it. Potts and Stockley appear to have fitted in well almost straight away and Neil will now be attempting to push his team as far up the table as possible.
