It was thought for some time that Sodje was only signed up on a short term teal to cover the absence of Lee Trundle who was injured in the Summer and set to return in early October. There is no news about when Trundle will be returning.
Ridsdale has confirmed that he is looking to extend Sodje's contract after he netted 4 times in 6 appearances for the Whites and looks like a potent goalscorer at League One level.
Sodje is unable to sign for any other league club until January due to the regulations which means that he either signs an extended contract until the window opens or he effectively becomes unemployed for a few months in England.
