After a miserable 6 weeks from the last week of September until the middle of November Preston appear to be turning a corner. Injured players are returning and the last three games have shown an upturn in results,
Maddison gave the home team the lead in the first half through a free kick but Preston battled to equalise through Barkhuizen who scored from close range.
Preston had other chances including Browne who hit the bar from a speculative overhead kick and Barkhuizen who was through one on one but had his attempt saved.
North End are now getting most of their injured players back including long term absentees such as Clarke who was again on the bench on Saturday. It is no coincidence that when Preston have their strongest players on the field the results do improve.
Preston now need to capitalise as December arrives with several games against teams around and below North End in the table.
