Semi-Final For Preston

Grayson named a changed line up from the Saturday victory at Bristol City with some forced and some unforced changes. North End satrted well with the recalled Laird opening the scoring.

Oldham started the second half the better of the two sides with goals from Philliskir and Polean putting the home side in front before a late Tom Clarke goal levelled the scores.

There is no extra time in the JPT and so it was straight to penalties where each side missed one each in the regulation five penalties. Both teams kept scoring until it was the turn of the keepers with Oldham missing and Stuckmann scoring to send Preston through 10-9.

Preston now face either Doncaster or Notts County next month in the Northern Area semi-fianl and are only 3 games away from a Wembley appearance.
