As DPNE took their shareholding in the club to over the 75% mark, Derek Shaw announced his resignation as chairman of the football club. He is to stay on in an honorary capacity as vice-president.
Maurice Lindsay who is a close ally of Trevor Hemmings is set to be appointed as the new chairman tomorrow. Lindsay twas the former chairman of Wigan Warriors Rugby League Club and will head up North End's new board.
