Preston haven't won at Bramall Lane for many a year but will be satisfied with a well earned point and yet another clean sheet. Holmes and King came closest for the visitors but in the end Grayson seemed happy with a point.
North End have become a solid unit over the final third of the season. They had become what Westley had always wanted - hard to beat. A consistent back line has helped and it will be interesting to see how this develops next season.
Rudd and Connolly will return to their parent clubs but Grayson will certainly want to bring the keeper back. Laird will also be fully fit which will prove interesting as Buchanan has featured in every game under Grayson.

Transfers in and out over the next few months will dictate where North End finsih next term and this may be the difficulty in moving some players on. If the squad remains the same Preston will be tough to beat and will sneak lots of games by the odd goal. Add a goalscorer and we might be aiming for the top slots...
