Preston completed their second successive home victory as they defeated Swansea at home in a midweek game att Deepdale by a first half goal thanks to Brad Potts.
Swansea will feel that the goal was avoidable with a mistake in failing to clear the ball. Potts slammed home from close range to score the onlygoal of the game.
In reality there were chances for both sides to score. Riis headed wide early on for Preston and the home side were on the front foot for parts of this game.
The visitors also had opportunities. Woodman was forced into a number of saves including at the death when he blocked a shot to keep a clean sheet. The keeper did earn his pay in this game.
Lowe will be satisfied that Preston gained another three points as they reach the World Cup break. They are still within touching distance of the play off places and another three points helps Preson move up the table.
