Sort It out Craig

I was more determined than ever to see Wigan get tonked against PNE on Saturday, as I got there late to the ground and some gormless Wigan fans give us the wrong directions!

But Wigan came out the brighter side, and definitely deserved at least a point, maybe even all three. Craig Brown is making excuses claiming we should have scored with our chances, but what about Wigan? They dominated the play in the middle of the park, and they, too, had created a few chances that could have won the game.

I noticed in the pre-season that Etuhu and O’Neill didn’t play particularly well, but Keane had an excellent time. Keane deserved the place in the team on Saturday, but he’s no left midfielder. With his energy and quick passing he should be at the heart of the midfield, that’s where he belongs.

If we have players to suit every position, then why did we play Eddie Lewis out of position on Saturday? What was Craig thinking? You never play an expert at a certain position, out of position, to accommodate another player. I thought that this was a big mistake and could have cost us the game.

The form of Richard Cresswell is worrying me, as he had another poor game against Wigan. He’s not forming a good bond with Fuller. Maybe its time we see Fuller and Healy up front. Healy links up well with a player like Fuller. I think they would be very threatening up front.
