Due to the complications of the loan system, Middlesboro were only allowed to sign St Ledger for 93 days and that period has expired. The North East club have signed St Ledger on a permanent deal but due to the transfer system this can only take place at the strat of January.
It's all very complex but means that St Ledger has a week where he has had to return to Deepdale and he is today training with the rest of the players ahead of the festive fixtures.
Neal Trotman is also set to return from his loan spell in the New Year after spending several months trying to gain some much needed first team experience.
