McLean is currently with Falkirk but due to the state of their finances he has been told that he can leave the club if he finds a better offer. The defender has spent pre-season with the Whites including the trip to the marines.
Brown has said that McLean is here for another week when a decision will be made about whether to offer the defender a contract or not although it is an area that needs strengthening.
