There was minor uproar at a recent hearing of the Council planning committee who rejected the proposals due to the number of proposed hosues on the land which contradicted guidance previously set down.
A petition has amassed around 3,000 signatures from fans of the club and this was submitted to the Council last week. In reality his is less than a third of fans who regularly attend games at Deepdale.
Plans have been resubmitted and it is anticipated that the Council will make a decision later this year in August over whether the revised plans can be approved.
Trevor Hemmings owns the land but has been frustrated in his attempts to develop the land over several years firstly through housing and now through a joint housing and training complex for the football club.
