With West Ham's Premiership future still hanging in the balance with recent events Curbishley was reported to be ready to make a bid for the young startlet ahead of his return from the Euro tournament in Holland.
Sunderland and Birmingham are said to have been the other two interested parties post season with Roy Keane having watched Nugent in action over in Holland. The list however is endless stretching back to last year with interest at one stage or another from Everton, Portsmouth, Sheffield United alongside the newly promoted sides.
No official bids have been confirmed yet and no-one has been allowed to talk to the player until the Championships are over. That could be as soon as Friday should England be defeated against Holland but more likely negotiations will begin in earnest early next week to resolve the situation.
