Preston made it two victories in three days from their pre-season friendlies, three goals coming in the second half.
Craig Brown used the same system as he did against Chorley, using two entirely different teams in each half. But it came to a much better effect against Brig, as they failed to deliver the goods in the first half.
Fuller stole the show against Chorley, but it was now Polish youngster Pawel Abbott’s turn. The striker has now scored three pre-season goals in two games, and is bound to give Boss Craig Brown a selection headache before the season starts if he keeps coming up with the goods.
The Whites come out brightly, the first chance coming on the first few minutes when a Cresswell ball through to Healy was curled onto the woodwork.
But the best chance for Preston was when Keane, who dominated the engine room in the first half, had a flick on from Carvill which ensued him to put in an inch perfect cross on the by-line, for Cresswell to have his shot tipped onto the post.
The swap around at the interval seemed to do the trick for Preston, as their first goal came in 6 minutes. Youngster Curwen in midfield ran down the right flank to unleash a cross for Abbott to head in the net.
The right side was exposed again on 71 minutes when Scottish striker Lynch swung a cross into the box, for Abbott to collect and finish the job.
Alan McCormack was another youngster that has showed success from the recent friendlies. He made it three when he collected a ball on the edge of the box and smashed it into the top left corner.
