Preston didn't really get into second gear after an easy afternoon at Deepdale which almost secured a second successive season in the end of season play off shoot out.
Preston managed to put enough pressure on the visitors for them to force the ball into their own net twice which in effect ended the game. Preston controlled the majority of the game without creating much else and at the other end Norwich never really pressured Nash who kept another clean sheet.
Manager Davies will be more worried about the injuries caused to O'Neill and Stewart who were forced off in the first half. Preston now find themselves in fifth place on goal difference from Crystal Palace. Watford are two points ahead but face local rivals Luton whilst Leeds sit in third place just three points ahead of the Whites. More importantly the chasing pack in particular Wolves are 10 points behind North End with only four games to play. A victory at Leicester will seal a play off place with three games remaining.
