After a poor performance at Southampton, Preston faced another struggling side in Nottingham Forest. Yet again Preston managed to aid the team at the wrong end of the table.
Robert Earnshaw scored both goals. The first when the frontman was left free to convert from a cross. Jon Parkin then equalised as he too was left free in the box to finish.
Davies and Lonergan then decided to gift away any hope of a point as a mix up at the back allowed Earnshaw to sneak in and hit home the winner.
Preston now face a trip to Palace before they go back home to Deepdale next week. Many more away days like this will mean Preston will fall behind many of their rivals.
