Preston started well wit hlots of possession without causing too much worry for the visiting keeper. That all changed when Nicholls atoned for his error on Saturday by whipping in a curling free kick for Carroll to rise and head home his first goal for Preston.

Leicester became more adventurous with Lonergan forced into a good save just before the break. Th eequaliser was a touch fortunate with Hill slipping, Lonergan failing to hang onto the shot and Campbell firing home the rebound.
The Foxes came forward for a winner forcing Lonergan into another save and St Ledger clearing the rebound off the line. Preston had a goalmouth scramble cleared before Leicester had the ball in the net but it was disallowed for a clear offside.
Preston must now go to Hull in search of a win after they won at Turf Moor this evening. Yet more changes will likely to be made as Preston sit uneasy in the bottom half of the table.
