Goals in either half gave Preston a comfortable home win against a troubled Millwall side. The visitors rarely put North End under pressure with Millwall's best chance being aclaim for a free kick on the edge of the 18 yard box which wasn't given and resulted in a yellow card for diving for the visitors.

Preston without impressing put together a move involving new boy Stock in midfield. The ball ended up at the feet of Agyemang who played a one-two with strike partner Nugent before slotting home from close range.

The second half was much the same and Preston added to their lead from a corner wich defender Claude Davis headed home. Nash had to make one save from a long range shot but was otherwise untroubled.

Preston jump back above Wolves who won against Luton in their Friday night fixture. North End have now won four in a row with an unbeaten run of 18 games going into next week's derby game at Turf Moor.
