Simpson made changes at the start with Halls coming in for Jones, Whaley starting on the left, Nicholls out of the squad and Hawley back up front with Carroll. Half the team didn't know if they were coming or going.
Changes happened at half time as Carter came on for Sedgewick and Agyemang for Carroll. As desperation struck in Simspon was turning to anyone to help. He certainly wasn't get any support from the visiting fans.
