Boss Irvine changed things around with loan signing brown coming in alongside Mawene at the back. St Ledger was shoved out to play at full back with Jones playing in midfield. SEdgewick missed out as Nicholson moved back to his favoured position ont he right with Wallace starting on the left.
Both sides struggled to create chances but the game was quite open for two teams who were not on the best of form. Preston managed to take their chances when it mattered and that was the difference between the two sides at the end of the day.
both goals came from the right and both from Wallace who swicthed wings throughout the game with Nicholson. The forst was a perfect left footed cross headed back across goal for Billy Jones from midfield to scarmble home before the break.
After the break Wallce cut in only to find his long range effort hit the post. Moments later from a similar angler his shot squirmed past the keeper to give the Whites all three points.
